Businesses are being urged to sponsor a two-day conference in London aimed at empowering women and girls through gender equality, entrepreneurship and education.
The Women In Leadership conference will take place at Church House Conference Centre in Westminster on September 8 and 9 and businesses are being encouraged to take advantage of sponsorship opportunties to support the event and demonstrate their own commitment to the cause of gender equality and girls’ development.
A range of opportunities as corporate sponsors or partners are available and the event will provide an opportunity to meet, engage share best practice with those who will be speaking and participating at the conference.
Research shows that when women and men work together on boards, much better governance and economic performance results. This is often referred to as the business case for gender diversity. In contrast to leadership teams that are comprised predominantly, if not entirely, of men from very similar demographic and professional backgrounds, groups that are more mixed will consider a wider range of issues, from a variety of perspectives, and generate more innovative solutions.
This Women in Leadership Conference will focus on how individual experiences and stories can fuel collective action, inspire and positively challenge the girl child, the woman entrepreneur and those women in senior positions in government and private sectors to fulfil their destiny.
