While many of us are hoping that Jamaica will be added to the travel green list at the next government review, for now, we have to make do with a taste of Jamaica at Boisdale of Canary Wharf.
The London institution, that specialises in Scottish cuisine, live jazz, exquisite whiskies and Cuban cigars, has once again transformed its first floor al fresco patio into a Jamaica Garden Terrace – featuring a plethora of palm trees and tropical plants guaranteed to transport you to the home of rum and reggae.
It’s not just the decor that evokes the spirit of Jamaica – so too does the cuisine. Guests can look forward to plenty of rum punch and an indulgent jerk barbecue: Expect to fill your plate with grilled chicken, pork and specials such as lobster and shrimp.
A premium-product line focusing on delightfully packaged authentic Jamaican food and cooking ingredients, Marshall & Brown is the brainchild of Dr Carlton Brown – a first-generation British-Jamaican who wanted to pay homage to his mother and mother-in-law both of whom are passionate about cooking, and his love of Jamaican culture.
Dr Carlton Brown said of his brand’s collaboration with Boisdale Canary Wharf:
Boisdale has long been considered one of London’s most exceptional dining spaces and its live events calendar is one of the most comprehensive in the city with the Jamaican Garden Terrace at Boisdale at Canary Wharf hosting Jamaica legends like The Wailers and Marcia Griffiths.
“We are delighted to be the preferred partner for Boisdale as they share the same values as Marshall & Brown, placing an emphasis on premium quality and authenticity.”
