Plant-based ice cream takes global award

A leading brand that has multiple dessert stores in London has taken home gold in the Plant-Based Dessert award at the annual World Plant-Based Innovation Awards.

Yolé, known worldwide for its Zero Dairy, Zero Sugar added ice cream, was named the winner of the dessert category at the awards, held in Minneapolis, USA, at the renowned Bridge2Food North America summit, in October. 

The award celebrates Yolé’s commitment to creating delicious, indulgent, yet guilt-free treats that push the boundaries of innovation in the plant-based industry. With six stores in the UK, and more due to open in the coming months, the team were delighted with the win.

Yolé’s award-winning dessert outshone tough competition, beating finalists Good Good (Vegan Lemon Curd) and Surapon Foods Public Company Limited (Frozen Coconut and Banana Gyoza) to clinch the title.

The Bridge2Food North America event provided a dynamic platform for leaders in the food industry to exchange ideas on the future of plant-based innovation, including trends such as fermentation and cell-based technology. The awards ceremony, hosted by Dan Bunt, Marketing Director at FoodBev Media, celebrated the industry’s most exciting and diverse products.
