Event production company London Filmed has announced the launch of a sister company, New York Filmed, as it seeks to embed itself in the US market.
By launching US Filmed LLC (dba New York Filmed), co-founders Nick Forster and Tom Mahon aim to capture a new audience, expand their offering and better service their existing US clients.
New York Filmed will take advantage of the network of partners, suppliers and logistics that the London team have been building over the last few years, meaning they’re ready to hit the ground running with new clients.
From their new base in New York, the team will be working in cities across the country to provide AV support, live filming and event filming. Co-founders Nick and Tom aim to build a team of local creatives to continue the excellent standard of work they’ve developed with the London team.
New York Filmed is excited to launch with several events already planned, including FT Live’s Investing in America. The team will also continue collaborating with London Filmed clients in Los Angeles and New York.
Founded in 2019 with the goal of modernising the event-building industry for corporate clients in London and cities across the UK, Nick and Tom have developed London Filmed into a full-service event production company, offering technical and creative event media solutions with a digital, transparent, streamlined approach to project management.
Tom said:
“The events industry is pretty outdated and ripe for change. There’s a real opportunity to disrupt the market and bring a level of clarity and freshness to it.”
Nick added:
“The thing that excites me the most about taking the business to America is the sheer sizeable market and the size of companies we will be able to engage with. Hopefully, the scale of the events we are involved in will grow with that too.
“There’s no better time than now. We are in a really good position as a business to expand, with a great team and a client base that we are already working with in New York and Los Angeles. We know we can deliver to the same high standards as the UK and the sizeable market in New York was just too large to ignore.”
