Plant-based lifestyle moves back to the big stage

The UK’s biggest indoor vegan gathering of the year VegfestUK London opens its doors to the public again after a three-year hiatus in November when Olympia Grand plays host to an incredible extravaganza of all things vegan and plant based.

With a vast array of new products, new vegan businesses, firm favourites from pre-pandemic days and a whole host of exciting developments in the plant-based world.

Sixteen hot food caterers with menus from across the globe ensure no shortage of tempting plant-based street food, and the addition of a number of artisan food producers, including an array of cakes and savouries ensures that visitors to Vegfest are spoiled for choice when it comes to devouring vegan options.

However, it’s not just the food – the whole plant-based lifestyle opens up with a plethora of vegan footwear, accessories, clothing, body care, make up, and other plant-based lifestyle options in abundance.

“It’s a fabulous time still for many new vegan businesses,”

said a spokesperson for VegfestUK,

“with the plant-based market still growing in many areas, and with a lot of these exhibitors new to the events environment and brim full of enthusiasm and vibrancy for the Vegfest experience at Olympia. Many of the start-ups from the last few years have been as visitors and these events have been missed. We can’t wait to open the doors again after the rollercoaster of the previous three years.”

Tickets are on sale at £10 including fees for the day, and £15 for the weekend, and are on buy-one-get-one-free for an extended period to help encourage an even wider audience of vegan people to attend – and especially to bring a friend along for free, even more so someone new to the plant-based lifestyle and vegan way of life.

“There’s a lot of talks and features for people new to plant-based lifestyles including supportive areas specifically for people wanting to find out more about the benefits of plant-based lifestyle choices. If you want to know where you can get your protein on a plant-based diet, this is the place to find out!”

The event also hosts a Cop27 conference focusing on solutions at hand to tackle climate change challenges, and a cookery demos area with useful and inspirational recipes for both beginners and the more adventurous chefs amongst us with a plethora of plant-based options to hand from a number of talented experts.

There’s also a vibrant fitness area with Olympic medallists and top-flight football players in attendance, to explain the benefits of plant-based diets at competitive level, and a nutrition room focusing on evidence-based research and up-to-date information on plant-based diets.

With an expected 250 exhibitors and anticipated 10,000-plus visitors, the weekend of November 12 and 13 is set to explode into a celebration of sensational food coupled with sustainable living and a real hope for the future for the decade ahead.

VegfestUK London 22 is at Olympia Grand November 12 and 13 from 10am to 6pm Saturday and 10am to 5pm Sunday. Tickets are on sale from the website london.vegfest.co.uk/tickets
